Spicy Honey Heart
In the beginnings of the internet, Martyniak developed an interest in digital art. She participated in websites such as Tumblr and deviantArt to practice and share artwork with those with common interests. She was self-taught, using programs like Photoshop and Manga Studio. In those times, with limited resources, she used a remote tablet to create her images; humble beginnings.
Much of Martyniak's ideation process starts with digital rendering. She still prefers drawing digitally over traditionally for the simple fact it's cleaner, faster to correct, and more effective for translating into contemporary glass and print. Beyond sketches and studies, she also illustrates graphics and compositions.
Many of the designs are available on print-on-demand products through Redbubble and Teepublic. This practice functions under Spicy Honey Heart, a branch of Willowind Studios.

Print-on-Demand
Some designs don't always end up as a professional fine art piece. SSH came to being after friends encouraged Martyniak to start selling the designs she created for sale posters, particularly "Gafferdite". The funds cultivated from her shops on Redbubble and TeePublic help with studio expenses, but the main objective of her shops is genereating a sense of community with like-minded artists and craftspersons.
The concepts behind most of Martyniak's online designs are more open and lighthearted, based on the artist's inspirations, loves, and hobbies. Themes she enjoys exploring include urban ruin, memento mori, mental health, myth and folklore, the natural world, glass craft, and other odds and ends (favourite books, video games, and tv shows).
You can find the shops by clicking the appropriate button provided on each page. The purchase of Martyniak's products help fund her projects in printmaking and glass craft.
