Motivation

My drive as an artist revolves around the idea of a beautiful death that does not equal finality. I borrow the aesthetics and symbols of myth, art history, and fantastical narratives to fuel the imagery I render. The objects I make are storytelling items, mimicking artifacts and talismans to evoke comfort and wonder.

Process

Working on Anthropocene (2019)
Depending on the subject, I will choose the most suitable medium. A concept or vision demands a form that will have the most impact on a person. My work is very detailed-oriented, but it can be perceived differently when it's presented as print, an illustration, a relief, or a sculpted object.

Rendering of Gethsemane (2019)
Cutting ovals for Self-Vanitas (2018-19)
When it comes to my projects, I give it my all. My processes require physical engagement and thoughtful decision-making.
