BIOGRAPHY "I was born in London, Ontario, Canada. I practiced art throughout my childhood and cultivated a talent in composition and illustration. I attended Western University, specializing in printmaking for its laborious and mechanical charm. I then decided to continue education in hopes of further developing my identity in the art world. The pursuit brought me to the Craft and Design Bachelor program at Sheridan College. I specialized in glass kilnforming, including kilncasting, fusing, enamel and silver stain painting. Enamoured by the fulfilling labour, I developed a fiery passion for glassmaking.
During my studies of both fine art and craft, I found myself drawn to hybrid processes between the two. Attending UWO established my ideation and visual expression through printmaking. My time at Sheridan College equipped me with specialized skills in using glass as a medium. I am very passionate about setting these two processes side by side, as well as combining them. They contain wondrous capacity for contemporary conversation through the material and its mark.
I still find that I don't belong anywhere but in my own unique hybrid space, and I am determined this will be my strength. I still practice glassmaking when I can while I conduct a print-on-demand business called Spicy Honey Heart, a branch of Willowind Studios."
