Glass
As a glass artist, Martyniak gravitates towards kilnforming, which includes casting, fusing, and stained glass painting. A highly technical and physically-demanding field, this medium allows her to express herself in a transparent yet enigmatic way. She casts sculptures and figurines using the lost-wax method. She paints windows with glass enamel and silver stain. She challenges herself when she works between the two- and three-dimensional realms, proud of the results.

*Since graduation, she is in the midst of constructing her home studio, rendering her unable to produce glass pieces. But fret not, she continues her familiarity with the material by shadowing other glass artists and offering intermediate advice.
